CLAYTON Donald Suddenly on February 28 2020, Donald aged 85 years. Loving husband of the late Audrey, much loved father of Steven and the late Anthony, precious grandad of Nick, Sophie and Thomas and a dearly loved partner of Christine. The funeral service and cremation will take place at Oakworth Crematorium on Friday March 20 at 11.30 am. Family flowers only please but donations would be appreciated to Yorkshire Air Ambulance. A box will be provided at the service for this purpose or may be made online at www.david-gallagher.co.uk.

My mother ( Millicent Webb) lived close to Audrey and Donald on the Brow and they became particularly close when Audrey was terminally ill- my mother used to take baking to them and sat with Audrey chatting and Donald never forgot my mother’s kindness. Donald loved walking and the Dales in particular and was in the same walking club as my mother and he helped my brother get a job at Pawson’s. The photo was taken on a walking expedition, but I’m not sure where. So sad to hear of the death of such a kind man. Dorothy ( Neé Webb)
