(B6478 CASTLE STREET, CLITHEROE, RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (PROHIBITION OF LOADING) (PARKING BAY SUSPENSION) ORDER 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out In this notice.

1. Temporarily prohibit motor vehicles from proceeding over that length of B6478 Castle Street, Clitheroe from its junction with B6478 Moor Lane to its junction with King Lane between 10am and 5pm every day.



2. Temporarily prohibit the waiting or loading or unloading of motor vehicles between 10am and 5pm every day on the east side of B6478 Castle Street, Clitheroe from a point 125 metres north of its junction with the centreline of Woone Lane for a distance of 51 metres in a northerly direction.



3. Temporarily prohibit the waiting or loading or unloading of motor vehicles at any time on the following lengths of road:



a) Moor Lane, Clitheroe, the west side, from a point 125 metres north of its junction with Woone Lane for a distance of 53 metres in a northerly direction.



b) Market Street, Clitheroe, both sides, from its junction with King Street to its junction with Church Street



4. The prohibition will be operative from 1630 hours on Tuesday 23rd June 2020 until Thursday 31st December or until it is deemed the prohibitions are no longer required..



AND FURTHER the parking bays situated in the lengths of road described in Articles 2 and 3 herein are hereby suspended for the duration of this notice.

The council is satisfied that these temporary restrictions should be introduced in order to maintain social distancing further to the Covid-19 pandemic, therefore reducing the likelihood of danger to the public.
