ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL MARKET STREET, BRADFORD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of telecommunication works proposed to be executed on or near Market Street, Bradford intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Market Street from its junction with Bridge Street to a point outside No. 71 Market Street.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available for Bridge Street bound traffic via Market Street (unaffected section), Bank Street, Broadway, Bridge Street and vice versa. For Lower Kirkgate bound traffic alternative routes will be available via Bridge Street, Sunbridge Road, Barry Street, Westgate, Drewton Road, Manor Row, Cheapside and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 19:00 hours on the 2nd November 2021 and remain in force until 23:00 hours on the 2nd November2021 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary). DATED this 21 st day of October 2021.
