LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (B6251 HIGHER LANE, B6251 HIGH LANE AND MOOR LANE, SALTERFORTH, PENDLE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the following lengths of highway;

i. B6251 High Lane from a point outside of property name Lane Head Cottage to its junction with Moor Lane in the Borough of Pendle.
ii. B6251 Higher Lane from its junction with Moor Lane for a distance of 195 metres in a North Westerly direction in the Borough of Pendle.
iii. Moor Lane from its junction with B6251 High Lane for a distance of 118 metres in a Easterly direction in the Borough of Pendle.

2. The prohibition will be operative from 0830 hours on to 1600 hours on Thursday 5th October 2017 or until completion of the works within this period.

3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- B6251 High Lane – B6251 Whitemoor Road – B6251 High Lane – B6251 Causeway – A56 Skipton New Road – A56 Colne Road – B6383 Kelbrook Road – B6383 Essex Street – B6383 Fernlea Avenue – B6251 Skipton Road – B6251 Church Street – B6251 Manchester Road – B6251 Higher Lane and vice versa. The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow overhead maintenance works to be carried out.
