Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 122 APPROPRIATION OF VARIOUS PARCELS OF LAND IN DARWEN FOR HIGHWAYS PURPOSES
Notice is hereby given under Sections 122(1) and 122(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council intends to appropriate for highway purposes various parcels of land which are described in the Schedule below all being in Darwen which currently are used as informal open space, informal amenity space or informal ancillary highway land and held by various Council Departments. All these parcels of land are being appropriated for highways purposes to enable the creation of or improvement to the road described generally as the Darwen East Development Corridor (DEDC).
The Various Plans showing the area of the land intended to be appropriated and supporting documents may be inspected at the Information Desk at the Town hall, Blackburn and the Town Hall, Darwen Monday to Friday inclusive between the hours of 10.00am and 4.00 pm (excluding Bank Holidays).
Comments or objections to the intended appropriations must be made in writing and addressed to:

Blackburn, BB1 7DY by no later than 22 December 2017.
