The Borough of Blackburn with Darwen

(Green Lane, Blackburn) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2019

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, intend to make the above Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to close Green Lane from its junction with Preston Old Road to its junction with Gladstone Close. The closure is necessary for the following reason: To replace a manhole frame and cover. The Order will come into force on 12th June 2019 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 12th June 2019.

The alternative route for the affected traffic will be via A674 Preston Old Road, A6062 Livesey Branch Road and Green Lane and vice versa.

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians

will be maintained at all times.
