A CARE group with homes across the district has appointed a new maintenance manager.

Alan Vennard will oversee health and safety compliance across Czajka’s sites, including Currergate at Steeton and Beanlands, Cross Hills.

And he will head-up the company’s specialist six-strong team of maintenance personnel and grounds staff.

The portfolio also includes the group’s headquarters and training centre and The Clubhouse, at Fairmount Park.

Mr Vennard, who has worked in similar posts with national care operators and spent 17 years as a special constable, said he was delighted to take on the new role.

“This move was an opportunity to join one of the region’s leading independent care providers,” he added.

“Throughout my time working in the care industry I’ve always recognised that residents should be at the centre of any company’s operations, and this certainly fits with Czajka Care Group’s values.

“Everything the maintenance team does is focussed around the residents and it is a very rewarding and enjoyable role.”

The appointment is welcomed by the group’s managing director, Konrad Czajka.

“Alan is a very experienced maintenance manager who has worked for several leading names in the industry,” he said.

“He also has a great understanding of the latest health and safety legislation and fire regulations.”
