Bradford Council leader Kris Hopkins has been chosen as the Conservatives' general election candidate in Keighley.
He last night beat Karl Poulsen, the party's unsuccessful candidate in the last general election, during a vote in Silsden.
All local people had been invited to vote after watching both contenders answer questions about their politics and beliefs.
