Foraging Courses in the Yorkshire Dales

We’re looking forward to coming back to Linton, a lovely little village in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, where we hope to find a range of tasty wild edibles throughout spring and summer.
We’ll be meeting at The Fountaine Inn, a welcoming country pub with interesting walks in every direction.
The course starts with a short introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes.
Then we’ll set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the village, teaching you how to identify the different edible and poisonous plants, flowers, fruits and mushrooms that we find.
We'll stop along the way for some seasonal homemade refreshments such as our lovely hogweed and wild garlic soup, elderflower champagne or fruit leathers.
Then it’s back to the Inn for a wild food lunch based on what we have found.
After the course, we'll email a list to you of everything we talked about on the day, to help you to remember what you've learnt.
Please note extra dates: 15th & 16th August.
