I WROTE before, in early January I recall, noting the ‘unsung heroes’ of the NHS.

I would like to expand on this as my personal observation of their service has given me good reason to rate them the best in the world, in my experience.

It requires first a GP, without whom even the emergency services are outside of their remit when it comes to life or death.

The hospital crew to whom your GP has referred and compared notes.

Then there are the aftercare services such as home from hospital, Bradford Enablement, pharmacists and the list goes on, even so far as to the local people who are employed by the NHS in ancillary roles whether to provide staff or specialist consumable goods.

The most worrying thing for me is that the Government could even consider reducing the funding for these people.

I would be happy to pay £5 per month extra in tax to preserve our NHS but I doubt that it would go to such a worthy cause.

By the way, to those who feel immune to NHS cutbacks because of going private, just check who provides their training and endorses their qualifications.

Let’s hear if for the NHS.
