I HAVE visited Cliffe Castle for the first time since its renovation.
What a wonderful open green space this is once again for the town and local area. Fortunately, it was a lovely sunny warm day as I sat down by the fountains and pond.
This would be a much-vaunted European garden if it were in Italy for example, but annoyingly a sad minority have tried to wreck all the good work and effort. If these “tiny tearaways” had any cognitive thought I would love to ask them why?
I finished off my visit with a pot of tea in the cafe, here again it was lovely and clean with very friendly and conscientious staff.
