NEW Queers On The Block is returning to Bradford on February 13-16 with the promise of performances by exciting and innovative LGBTQ+ artists.

The touring festival, created by Brighton’s Marlborough Theatre, is entitled the Right Queer Right Now Weekender for its Bradford residency, the product of a collaboration between Theatre in the Mill and New Queers on the Block.

The Bradford programme, which includes shows, discussions, parties, workshops and events, begins on Thursday February 13 with Pull The Trigger from Vijay Patel, who also performs on Sunday at 1pm.

Friday from 6-8pm sees Oozing Gloop, described as the UK’s leading autistic green drag queen, with a vision of the the future in The Gloopshow Episode 2: Glooptopia!

Radical choreographer and dance artist Marikiscrycrycry will perform their exploration of Tupac and depression via the haunting piece He’s Dead, on Saturday at 8pm.

Bradford’s Kirsty Taylor performs specially commissioned #HereCoz on Saturday at 3pm and Sunday at 2.30pm, and First Time by Nathanial Hall is on Friday at 9.30pm and Saturday at 6pm.

Hiding in Plain Sight, a series of queer films by ‘professional unicorn’, British Iraqi non-binary drag performer Amrou Al-Kadhi, can be seen on Sunday at 11am.

The programme is curated by New Queers On The Block directors Xavier de Sousa and David Sheppeard with Theatre In The Mill. Each event will have cheap, Pay What You Can and free tickets.
