This Xbox 360 game-of-the-movie does little in the terms of storytelling and following the plot of the film but as movie tie-ins go X-Men Origins Wolverine is a cut above the rest when compared to some inferior movie-themed games.
It’s not up there with the likes of the Spiderman series but offers a solid game play experience and above average graphics.
Although based on a comic book hero, Wolverine is not for the faint-hearted as the title is a gore-fest, as you slash your way though the levels, decapitating and dissecting your enemies with your razor sharp claws.
I feel the 18 certificate is justified but this restricts the game’s overall appeal as younger gamers who will miss out.
The game is enjoyable and although the action is non-stop and relentless it does become slightly repetitive and the levels seem very linear in the design.
