Makes 12 nests or one large table centerpiece

Ingredients

225g/8oz milk chocolate

50g/2oz butter

2tbs golden syrup

100g/4oz cornflakes

1 large packet chocolate mini eggs

Method

Place 12 colourful paper baking cases into the hollows of bun or muffin baking trays.

In a large mixing bowl, add the cornflakes.

Break the chocolate into pieces and place these into a large saucepan.

Add the butter to the pan with the golden syrup.

Get mum to stir the mixture over a low heat with a wooden spoon till the chocolate, butter and syrup has just melted.

Pour the yummy chocolate over the cornflakes coating them well.

Be extra careful not to break them into small pieces.

Using a tablespoon, spoon the mixture into each paper case making a small hollow in the middle of each nest with the back of the spoon.

Place a few mini eggs in each nest and allow to set.

Either keep on or remove the paper cases and arrange neatly on your poshest plate or cake stand with a few yellow chicks when ready to serve.

Store in a airtight container and best eaten within a few days.

For a giant centerpiece nest, draw around the base of a 8'' cake tin using baking parchment paper, and then turn it over.

Make the mixture as above and load the coated cornflakes inside the marked circle

Mound up the sides to make it look like a bird’s nest, allowing a slight hollow in the middle.

Chill to set and fill with lots of mini eggs, fluffy chicks and bunnies, then bring to the table with joy!
