BABAJACK has been added to the line-up of the latest Keighley Blues Live gig.

The band will play alongside Catfish and David Broad during the concert on February 9 at the Octagon on Bradford Road, Sandbeds.

Keighley Blues Live organisers say that although both Catfish and Babajack are bona fide headliners in their own right, ticket prices will remain the same as already planned.

A spokesman said: “It is great to so be able to bring you this superb and unique line-up that KBL will soak up the expected loss.

“This gig is the very essence, the core nature of why KBL exists so please find time to support us with your presence.”

The gig, which starts at 7.15pm, is billed as a new beginning for Babajack.

The spokesman said: “In summer 2017 Babajack are half-way through recording an album when founder member Trevor Steger makes the shock announcement that he is leaving the band with immediate effect.

“The remaining members, Becky Tate, Tosh Murase and Adam Bertenshaw pick themselves up from the floor, shake themselves down and collectively take a deep breath. Realising they have lots of dates to fulfil they ask renowned guitarist Troy Redfern to deputise for the duration of these.

“Tours of Germany and the UK follow during when it becomes apparent that the inclusion of Troy really takes the band to a higher level; and Troy becomes a fully-fledged member of this multi-award winning band. In Keighley they will be giving us a preview of new material, some old classics done the new way and an insight into how the band is developing.”
