BUXTON Leonard It is announced with great sadness that Leonard passed away on 25th July 2022, aged 83, following a short illness. Beloved husband of Janet, much loved dad of Belinda, Leonard, Ian and Angela, dear father-in-law of Pamela and Michelle, loving grandad to Gavin, Charlotte and Lauren, great-grandad to Finley, Hollie and Elliott and a true friend to many. He will be greatly missed but forever loved. Funeral service will be at the Knowle Chapel of Rest at 10.30am Monday 22nd August followed by a Cremation at Oakworth Crematorium at 11.30am. Family flowers only please but donations would be appreciated to Sue Ryder, Manorlands.

Condolences to Leonard’s family. When I was a kid Leonard had a pigeon pen on parkwood. Me and my brother would often walk over their as we had a few pigeons ,we lived on the woodhouse estate. Leonard noticed us after a few times sat on the grass bank outside his lofts. One day he shouted us over and asked if we would like to look at his lofts. He took time to talk to us,it may not seem much to some but to me and my twin it was a big thing,and something I never forgot. So I’m very saddened to hear of the passing of Leonard, the kind man that took time to talk to the twins from woodhouse. RIP Leonard.
