HAWORTH'S first ever sausage and cider festival will be held in the village from 4pm tomorrow. (Oct 10)

The event, which is being organised by local resident Kath Thornton in response to popular demand, will be held from October 10 to 12 in the Old School Rooms, in Church Street.

The occasion is due to feature more than 20 seasonal ciders and ales, German lagers, and specially produced sausages from local butchers cooked by Jakes Place.

Guests can enjoy live entertainment on Saturday afternoon and evening performed by guitarist Paul Jermyn.

There will also be a family fun day from 11am on the Sunday, with face painting, tombolas, a competition, sweet stalls and chocolate fountains. The fun day will raise money for Manorlands Hospice.

Entry for the whole weekend is £3 for adults and free for children.
