A GROUP of travellers has left a recreation ground in Crossflatts.
The travellers had moved on to the football pitch adjacent to Crossflatts Cricket Club in Keighley Road earlier this month.
They brought at least six caravans, along with vans, trucks and a horse box.
Bingley councillor John Pennington confirmed the travellers had moved on from the site, following a two-week stay.
He said: “It was a nightmare situation for residents.”
Bryan Freimanis, secretary of Crossflatts Cricket Club, had previously said the arrival of the group had not affected any matches.
A Bradford Council spokesman said: “We were granted a court order and the group have now moved off this land. We will make arrangements for any rubbish to be cleared.”
