A HAWORTH-based writer has had a new collection of poems published.

Peter Paul Hartnett, who writes under the name PP Hartnett, has completed “Three men, in tears.”

This will be Mr Hartnett’s second limited edition hardback collection, which follows on from his earlier poetry work – “Date of birth, time of death”.

He has previously written and published novels such as “Call Me”, “Sixteen” and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Suicide”, and has edited three collections of short fiction.

He will be launching his latest collection of poems at a PRIDE event at Manchester’s People’s History Museum next month.

A spokesman for the organisers said: “Mr Hartnett will read a number of pieces and then enter into a question and answer session, with a focus upon high risk online engagement and the sexual predators who so often lurk behind false profiles.”

People can visit threemenintears.eventbrite.co.uk to book tickets for the launch, which is at 2pm on August 25. Attendees are asked to arrive at least ten minutes before the start time.
