FESTIVE film favourite Nativity! has been transformed into a stage show in Leeds.

Nativity! The Musical promises mayhem in Bethlehem during his residency at the Grand Theatre from Wednesday, December 22, to Saturday, January 6.

Debbie Isitt has adapted her own film script and promises seasonal comedy for all the family, with performances at 2pm and 7pm almost every day.

Every child in every school has one Christmas wish, to star in a Nativity, and at St Bernadette’s School they’re attempting to mount a musical version.

The only trouble is that teacher Mr Maddens has promised a Hollywood producer is coming to see the show to turn it into a film.

Audiences at the Grand are invited to join Mr Maddens, his crazy teaching assistant Mr Poppy, hilarious children, and a whole lot of sparkle and shine, as they struggle to make everyone’s Christmas wish come true.

A spokesman said: “Feel-good, funny and full of yuletide joy, Nativity! The Musical features all of the favourite sing-a-long hits. There are also a whole host of new songs filled with the spirit of Christmas!”

The cast includes West End favourites Daniel Boys (Avenue Q), Sarah Earnshaw (Wicked, Spamalot) and Simon Lipkin (Rock of Ages, Guys and Dolls).
