PEOPLE dumping large quantities of beer cans are blighting the appearance of a stretch of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.
Michael Tarran, one of the directors of the K&WVR, raised the issue at a meeting of Keighley Public Transport Watch earlier today. (March 7)
And he warned it was not the first time this part of the heritage line had suffered from this problem.
He added: "Last year we received an enforcement notice concerning waste which was being flytipped on the railway bank off Leylands Lane.
"We cleared that up and collected four skip loads of rubbish.
"But now people who are going up the snicket leading from Low Mill Lane have thrown a large number of beer cans onto the side of the railway. It's quite a mess up there so we're back to square one and will need to get it tidied up again."
