NUTRITION was the theme of a bake-off involving staff at Glusburn Community Primary School in aid of UNICEF.
Last month’s event, which celebrated the UNICEF Day of Change, featured cakes decorated in colourful ways to show the value of nutrition.
Year five teacher Rebecca Lamkin came first, with year three teacher Carla Donald, FSU teacher Lucy Jardine and year two teacher Frances Beckwith coming second, third and fourth.
All money raised by the event will be given to UNICEF to support their 'Nutrition' projects around the developing world.
Children at Glusburn School did artwork as part of UNICEF Day of Change.
Day of Change is a fundraising challenge that involves thousands of school pupils setting out to help malnourished children grow up healthy and strong.
The children are invited to change something about their school day.
During last year’s Day of Change, every pound raised was matched by the foundation Power of Nutrition.
