KEIGHLEY people are being urged to put their best foot forward to raise money for the British Red Cross.
The charity is staging a Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
Over 200 people have already signed-up for the event, on Saturday, July 21, but more are being sought.
The walk covers a route of about 24 miles and takes in the summits of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
Entry costs £10 and each participant is asked to raise £100 through sponsorship.
Helen Whale, regional senior community fundraiser for the British Red Cross, said: “In the past we’ve seen people come from across a wide area to take on this challenge – it’s a day you’ll never forget.
“The whole walk is full of amazing views and supportive people and there’s a well-deserved cup of tea and a medal at the end!
“There’s so much to gain – and you are supported by our team from the day you sign-up.
“Every penny raised goes towards the crucial work the British Red Cross does in the UK and overseas, for people in need.”
