TRADERS at Keighley Market are getting involved in Love Your Local Market Fortnight by offering customers a free £5 voucher.
Shoppers will be handed £5 vouchers to spend in Keighley Market only until the end of October.
The vouchers will be given in exchange for a short survey, in the precinct between the market and Airedale Shopping Centre on Saturday, May 19 between 11am and 2pm, or until all 200 have been handed out.
Love Your Local Market Fortnight, which runs from May 17 to 31, is the UK’s largest annual celebration of retail and wholesale markets.
Cllr Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Regeneration, Planning and Transport, said the initiative would reward loyal customers who used the market every week.
He added: “This initiative was led by the traders at Keighley Market to encourage people who may not shop in the market on a regular basis to come and browse and use the discount voucher.”
