LOCAL businesses will have the ear of key decision-makers at a special event organised by Keighley MP John Grogan.

The Keighley Economic Forum will take place at Keighley College on Friday, June 21, and will be free to attend for people from new or existing businesses.

Mr Grogan described Keighley as a "magnificent place with huge potential", but said there was a need for debate on how the town could be positively promoted as a great place to live, work and do business.

Keighley College principal Colin Booth said he was delighted to be hosting the economic seminar.

He added: "We are committed to working closely with business to ensure we meet future employment needs and help secure the prosperity of the town.”

There will be a variety of speakers from around the district involved in fields such as business support and financing.
