A SILSDEN voluntary organisation established to carry on the Tour de France's positive legacy after it passed though the town will hold a coffee morning this weekend.
Members of Silsden's Grand deParty group will stage the event on Saturday (June 16) from 9.30am till noon in St James Church Hall.
A spokesman for the group, which is now planning several public events to take place in Silsden during July, said: "The main reason for the coffee morning is to provide a place where people can meet local community groups, to learn more about what they do and how to get involved.
"So as well as our Grand deParty team, also at the morning will be representatives from Friends of Silsden Town Hall, the Hive (Silsden Youth Community Interest Company), Friends of Silsden Library, the Gala Committee, Friends of Silsden's Green Places and Friends of Silsden Park."
