STAFF from Keighley social housing group Incommunities took part in a one-day fast to raise awareness of food poverty.

The organisation was backing #UKHousingFast, a social media campaign led by workers within the social housing sector.

The initiative aims to encourage public support for the work of the Trussell Trust, which runs over 400 foodbanks.

Incommunities also hosts a collection point for Bradford Central Foodbank.

Geraldine Howley, Incommunities group chief executive, said: "We are committed to supporting the trust to raise money and lots of food donations.

"It is wonderful to see staff pledge their support to those in need in our community who don't know where their next meal is coming from.

"Hopefully, this campaign can make a real difference and raise awareness of the growing issue of food poverty."
