TICKETS for five lively shows being staged at Leeds Grand Theatre this autumn are now on sale.

The venue will be hosting Cilla The Musical, Rain Main, Motown The Musical, Jersey Boys and Shrek The Musical.

Cilla runs from October 16 to October 20. Based on the ITV mini-series, the musical follows the story of the extraordinary life of the ordinary teenage girl from Liverpool, Priscilla White, and her rocky rise to fame.

At just 25, Cilla Black was one of the most internationally recognised singing stars, who went on to become one of Britain’s favourite television entertainers.

The musical score is the ultimate soundtrack to the sixties, including ‘Anyone who had a heart’, ‘Alfie’ and ‘Something tells me’.

From October 29 to November 3 audiences can see Rain Man. Bill Kenwright presents the inaugural classic screen to stage theatre companies production of this tale – based on the film starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman.

Rain Man tells the story of two brothers, Charlie Babbitt, a self-centred salesman, and Raymond, Charlie’s long-lost elder, autistic brother.

When Charlie discovers Raymond has inherited the family’s multi-million-dollar fortune, he sets out to get “his half” by “borrowing” Raymond from the institution where he has spent most of his life and embarking on a trip across America.

The sensational hit West End show Motown The Musical is at Leeds Grand from November 6 to November 17.

With just 800 dollars Berry Gordy founded Motown Records and launched the careers of multiple legendary artists, including Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and The Temptations.

Featuring over 50 classic hits, including ‘My Girl’, ‘I Heard It Through the Grapevine’ and ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’, Motown The Musical tells the tale of the man who fought against the odds to create something more than a record label.

November 20 to December 1 features Jersey Boys, which has won 57 major awards worldwide, including the Olivier Award for best new musical. It tells the true story of four boys from the wrong side of the tracks who wrote their own songs, invented a unique sound and sold 100 million records worldwide.

Shrek is on stage from December 18 this year to January 6 2019. Based on the the Oscar winning DreamWorks Animation film, this hilarious production turns the world of fairytales upside down in an all-singing, all-dancing comedy.

Shrek, the unlikely hero, and his loyal steed Donkey set off on a quest to rescue the beautiful Princess Fiona from her tower, which is guarded by a fire breathing love-sick dragon.
