PLANS submitted to build a pair of new houses in Oxenhope have been recommended for approval.
Permission is being sought for two semi-detached homes with garages, parking and gardens on land at Brent Villa, Upper Town. The proposals feature four parking spaces on the site, to the east of Hebden Bridge Road.
They were considered by Oxenhope Parish Council at its meeting last Wednesday. Cllr Peter McManus said: “This is making the maximum use of existing residential space in the village. I’m in favour of it, and this is within the policy which we’re encouraging in our Neighbourhood Development Plan.”
A design and heritage statement accompanying the application says the proposed new dwellings will be designed to blend in with nearby homes. The plans will be decided by Bradford Council.
