A GROUP of people with dementia, who meet weekly for art sessions, enjoyed a day out at the seaside.
The trip to Morecambe was organised by the Bentham Line, which includes the Airedale route.
Group members, who were accompanied by their carers, enjoyed afternoon tea at the resort’s Midland Hotel.
“The trip was an enormous success,” said Philippa Troutman, of Pioneer Projects, which runs the art group.
“Everyone took pleasure in the journey, the afternoon tea and each other’s company.
“The staff and volunteers of the railway could not have been more helpful.”
