TIMOTHY Taylor enjoyed heady success in a prestigious competition.

The Keighley brewery's new Taylor Made range and Knowle Spring Blonde scooped honours at the British Bottling Institute Awards.

In the beer-tasting part of the contest, Knowle Spring Blonde took gold while Taylor Made ales Cook Lane and Poulter's Porter won silver.

The Taylor Made line-up was also awarded a diploma for packaging design.

Head brewer Andrew Leman said: "We have never had more than two award wins at the same competition before, so this is a great achievement.

"We are all really pleased with Knowle Spring Blonde being handed a gold in beer tasting. It is such a tough market and it's so hard to receive gold status. Cook Lane IPA and Poulter's Porter also did very well to be awarded silver.

"The Taylor Made family, as a collection, received a diploma in packaging which is very rewarding for all the hard work that has gone into this new range. It is always great to be recognised and this diploma highlights the fantastic work our marketing team has done with the design."

The awards will be officially presented at a British Bottling Institute gala dinner in November.
