A BAND fronted by Keighley singer Ryan Hanson will play the prestigious O2 Academy in Leeds.

The Diesel Trees will play their alternative rock and indie music in support of Housemartins and Beautiful South tribute band The Southmartins.

Diesel Trees recently performed at the 360 Club in Leeds, as well as the Abbey Inn beer and music festival in Bramley.

A band spokesman said: “The Diesel Trees are a new wave of alternative rock music from Leeds.

“Despite only forming in early 2017 they are forging a reputation with a strong onstage image with mind-blowing rock anthems.

“Influences for the band come in the shape the 90s legends The Stone Roses, Oasis, and the original rockers the Beatles with a bit of Pink Floyd and Mod classic The Jam.”
