JIMMY Osmond will host the American Jukebox 70s Show at King’s Hall in Ilkley on September 25.

A seven-piece band, dancers and backing singers will join Jimmy on stage for a high-energy evening covering classics from the likes of Earth Wind & Fire, The Bee Gees, Elvis and The Jacksons.

He will also sing all The Osmonds’ hits such as ‘Love Me For A Reason’, ‘Crazy Horses’, ‘Let Me In’ and ‘One Bad Apple’.

The audience will be treated to nostalgic videos, and Jimmy will share stories from his superstar friends as well as performing his first big hit ‘Long Haired Lover from Liverpool’.

The song stayed in the charts for 27 weeks and made him the youngest person ever to top the UK charts, a record that has not been beaten.

The world was introduced to Jimmy just a month before his fourth birthday when he sang on the hugely popular Andy Williams Show.

Now, 50 years later and with 59 gold and platinum records to their credit, the Osmond family still has a lively and loyal fan base.

Jimmy has toured with the likes of Nancy Sinatra, Pat Boone and Andy Williams and starred in the Osmonds’ own TV show. He has performed for he Queen and sung at the White House in Washington DC.

In more recent times Jimmy Osmond has appeared on the TV shows I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!, Come Dine With Me, Pop Star To Opera Star and was a finalist on Celebrity Masterchef.

On stage he has performed as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Teen Angel in Grease in the West End and in Chicago as Billy Flynn.
