HAWORTH will host the return of singer-songwriter and record producer Todd Carey on Friday September 21.

The New York musician will perform at the Parkside Social Club, Butt Lane, as one of a handful of concerts on his upcoming UK tour.

Todd first performed in the village last October as a “Haworth Festival Extra” in the Old School Rooms and was keen to make a return visit as soon as possible.

His 40-date Sail Into Summer 2018 Tour started in May with venues mainly in America culminating in a whistlestop tour of England and Scotland.

The concerts have mostly been performed as fans’ house parties with just a few public gigs, documented by Todd via social media clips.

Todd, who has a huge social media presence, including almost two million followers on Twitter, is posting video vlogs and Facebook messages.

Organiser Sarah Granby said: “Todd loves to interact with his audience so Parkside will be the ideal venue for a public gig with the cosy feel of a home concert.

“He went down so well last time that we thought we’d better get him a bigger room!”

Sarah said that Todd’s style was suitable for all age ranges.

She said: “He sings his own songs including Nintendo (which has had over one million views on YouTube), OMG and You’re My Crazy.

“He covers well-known songs too. Story of Boy Bands takes us from the original boy band The Beatles right through to What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction. Everyone joins in this one!”

Phil Hickinson will be DJ for the evening’s disco. Admission will be by donation.

Todd recently released Future Throwback, which he calls his career defining album.
