A FILM shot on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway will be shown on October 21 by Keighley Film Club.

The volunteer-run club will screen Lies We Tell at the town’s Picture House cinema from 6pm.

The 109-minute film, with a 15 certificate, was produced in Bradford with scenes that also included Malham and Leeds.

Gabriel Bryne, Sibyella Deen and Harvey Keitel star in the crime-romance thriller, which explores issues of loyalty, betrayal and revenge intermingled with cross cultural dynamics.

Donald has been a loyal driver to crime boss Demi but following the latter’s death has to quickly clear his house, and this includes his mistress and an incriminating sex tape.

Director Mitu Misra's direction keeps the audience guessing how the issues will be resolved, but extreme prejudice is suggested.

Reviewers have highlighted the range of talented actors in the film, with lead actors exposed to cultural conflict between western norms and Asian tradition.
