EDDI READER and her band will perform at Leeds City Varieties on October 25 as part of a tour promoting her latest album Cavalier.

Eddi achieved chart success in the 1980s with her worldwide smash Perfect and has remained a successful artist in subsequent decades.

Cavalier features 16 songs including recently-performed live favourites Wonderful, My Favourite Dress, Starlight and Maiden’s Lament.

Recorded in Glasgow, the album is being hailed as a creative peak in an already prestigious career, featuring just under an hour of new music, incorporating both contemporary and traditional songs.

Ed Sheeran will play Roundhay Parking Leeds on August 16 and 17 next year towards the end of his record-breaking Divide tour.

Ed’s most recent album Divide has sold more than 15.5 million copies around the world and spawned global number one singles including “Shape of You” and “Perfect”.

Red Rum Club have released single Honey in advance of an album next year, and play Headrow House in Leeds on October 19.

The band are said to bridge the gap between indie rock and cinematic soundscape, with fresh, frenetic, anthemic singles accompanied by the driving, melodic sound of early 60s guitar riffs.

Wakefield band Adore//Repel have returned from a tour of the US West Coast to play Leeds 360 Club on Friday October 19.

The “exhilarating and trashy” Lovely Eggs will be at the Brudenell Social Club, Leeds, on Friday October 19 with a show that also includes Leeds art-rockers Mush, Manchester feminist post-punks Ill, and poet and comedian Rob Auton.

Aussie indie-pop trio Middle Kids will play songs from their debut album Lost Friends at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds on November 22.
