KEIGHLEY GP surgeries will showcase information about osteoporosis this month.
The Holycroft and Farfield medical practices are hosting information stands to tie in with World Osteoporosis Day this Saturday.
A surgery spokesman said the stands, which will be available for two weeks, will let people know more about the devastating condition.
It is estimated that three million people in the UK are affected by osteoporosis, which causes one broken bone every minute in the UK – 500,000 every year.
Half of women and 20 per cent of men over the age of 50 will break a bone because of osteoporosis.
