TOTALLY Locally Addingham have hailed the second Addingham Amble which took place on Sunday, September 16 a huge success.

Despite the poor weather over 200 walkers took part in a series of sponsored memory walks around the village in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

The event was organised by Totally Locally Addingham in partnership with Addingham Parish Council and Addingham Civic Society/Environmental Group and has raised fantastic £2032.90 for Alzheimer’s Society.

Special thanks go to the donations made from funeral collections of Mrs Rosemary Summers and Mrs Ruth Gaunt. Organisers would like to thank event sponsors: Whitakers Chocolates, Aireworth Vets (Addingham), Althams Travel, Walker Foster Solicitors and Yorkshire Water as well as The Sailor pub for hosting the event and local artist Geraldine Thompson for the superb painting of Beamsley Beacon used in the publicity.
