KEIGHLEY MP John Grogan is supporting a building society’s search for generous soles.
He called at the Yorkshire Building Society in Low Street, Keighley, to show his backing for its Socktober appeal.
People are being invited to donate new pairs of socks – plus items such as toiletries, gloves, woolly hats and interview clothes – at the branch until next Wednesday, October 31, as part of a charity partnership with End Youth Homelessness (EYH).
Donations of money can also be made.
Mr Grogan said: “I was delighted to pop into the society’s local branch and take part in Socktober.
“This campaign both highlights the problem of youth homelessness and provides a bit of very practical help.”
The Yorkshire Building Society aims to raise £750,000 as part of a three-year partnership with EYH.
