THERE’LL be sawdust on the floor at the Groovy Happening on Saturday, November 3.
The band Sawdust are the headliners, making their first appearance at the monthly Haworth music night in the Parkside Social Club.
Groovy spokesman Ann Wiles said: “Sawdust’s philosophy is to play well-known, popular, upbeat songs, predominantly from the 50s, 60s and 70s with a few more current songs thrown in.”
Also playing are Keighley band The Rockets who have always been well-received at the Groovy Happening with “finest-quality blues-rock for the discerning listener”.
Leeds folk-roots acoustic duo Rum Doodle will play mostly original songs with influences as broad as Christy Moore, The Dubliners, Bob Dylan and Neil Young.
Self-taught guitarist Stuart, who is influenced by Nirvana, will perform his own compositions, aiming to conjure up a range of emotions and relaxing images through catchy tunes.
Doors open 7.30pm, admission £3, proceeds to Manorlands.
