A TEXTILE firm founded by an Oxenhope entrepreneur is a finalist in a coveted awards scheme.
The Stitch Society has been shortlisted in the social impact category of the Blue Patch Awards.
Charlotte Meeking began making aprons, using vintage fabrics, from a home studio in 2015.
The following year the company moved into the world-famous Salts Mill at Saltaire and expanded its product range.
Charlotte, who creates the garments from cloth sourced in Yorkshire mills, said she was delighted to be a finalist in the Blue Patch Awards.
"I am proud of this achievement – which acknowledges what we do and the spirit in which we work," she added.
The Stitch Society has also partnered with Keighley College to launch a textile academy, to help develop a teaching programme reflecting skills needed in the industry.
And earlier this year the firm was a finalist in the Keighley & Airedale Business Awards.
