A PAIR of Ford Transit vans were destroyed in two suspected arson attacks in Keighley.

The flatbed vehicles, which had been parked in neighbouring streets in Ingrow, went up in flames within four hours of each other last night. (Nov 1)

A spokesman for Keighley Fire Station said: "We were called at about 7.25pm to Wheat Street, where we found the engine compartment and cab of a Ford Transit flatbed van fully alight.

"We were called again at 11.30pm to Stanley Road to a second van on fire, the same make and model, which was again fully alight on arrival.

"The vans were no more than 40 feet apart, they were parked on each side of the road.

"We used a hose reel and breathing apparatus to put out both fires, and both were suspected to be deliberate, so the police were called."
