THE ROTARY Club of Keighley will host its annual Young Musician competition on the afternoon of December 1.
Children aged under 12 will sing and play musical instruments from 2pm at Keighley Shared Church, followed by teenagers at 3.30pm.
The club has had to limit the number entries accepted this year, due to the number of contestants steadily increasing in recent years.
The best performers will be invited to perform at a district final, likely to be held next February in York, and the district winners will go on to the regional final.
Rotarian Judy Hazlehurst said: “If there are more entries than we can accommodate, the earlier ones will have priority. The competition has always been very enjoyable indeed with excellent performances.”
Entries should be submitted as soon as possible. Email judy.hazlehurst@keighleyrotary.org or call 01274 603184 for further information.
The competition is open to the public. Entry to the condition is free, and £2.50 for supporters including refreshments.
