SARAH Goggin is returning to the Alhambra for another pantomime after playing the title role in last year’s Cinderella.

This time she will be Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, performing alongside comedian Billy Pearce, celebrity Christopher Biggins and pop singer Simon Webbe.

Also recently announced for the cast were Carl Sanderson as the Emperor and David O’Mahony as the evil sorcerer Abanazar.

Sarah Goggin most recently played Sister Mary Robert in the UK tour of Sister Act, and has previously appeared in Bad Girls, Christmas in New York with Eden Espinosa, A Different Kind Of Christmas Musical, and Been on Broadway.

Sarah said: “I’m delighted to have been invited back to Bradford to play Jasmine after playing the leading role of Cinderella last year.

“I had a fabulous time working with Billy and the rest of the company; I can’t wait to get started on this year’s spectacular panto!”

Carl Sanderson has appeared in a wide range of West End and touring musicals including Sunset Boulevard, My Fair Lady, Hairspray, Cats, Phantom of the Opera and Beauty and the Beast.

His television and film credits include Victoria Wood Christmas Special, Acorn Antiques The Musical, That Day We Sang (BBC) and The Dresser (BBC).

Carl said: “It’s so exciting to be treading the majestic Alhambra Theatre boards and bringing heaps of Yorkshire spirit to this magical tale!”
