A KEIGHLEY choir has been singing for someone else’s supper.
The Rock Choir that rehearses at Central Hall heard about efforts by hall staff to provide a special meal for people who are alone at Christmas.
Members of the choir had a collection, and donated the proceeds to Central Hall for its annual Community Christmas event.
Central Hall manager Julie Lintern said: “This support was unexpected but extremely welcomed, I can’t thank the Keighley Rock Choir enough for their generosity.
“If you are facing the day alone and would like to join us for a traditional dinner with all the trimmings, parlour games and company, please call 01535 612500.”
The Rock Choir will start its new term on January 16, with weekly sessions running from 10.30am to noon.
