THE CAVENDISH Lodge Day Nursery in Keighley has received across-the-board praise from Ofsted inspectors.
The nursery was classed as good in all areas, including leadership, teaching, personal development, behaviour, welfare, and outcomes for children.
The inspector said: “Staff provide a range of activities that reflect children’s interests and next steps in learning. Staff keep parents fully informed and involved in their child’s learning.
Support for children with special education needs or disabilities was also classed as good, with staff seeking partnerships with outside agencies to ensure they met children’s learning and development needs.
In order to improve, the inspectors suggested staff provided more opportunities for children to extend their concentration. Staff should also offer alternative play experiences to older children to encourage concentration.
Nursery manager Stephanie Porter said she was extremely proud of her team and delighted with the inspection.
She said: “Everyone’s dedication and enthusiasm shone, as it has done over the years. Our main priority is the care, development, safety and wellbeing of every child.
“The inspector highlighted the emotional wellbeing of the children and their relationships with the staff team.”
