AN illuminated charity winter wonderland display which has returned to a Keighley home after a successful debut last year is again proving a big hit.

Sam and Bethany Wardley, of Nessfield Drive, last month held a lights switch on for their second festive season display.

The winter wonderland is in place until early in the New Year and again features collection buckets for Manorlands. The 2017 display raised more than £400 for this good cause, but the 2018 version has already beaten that total, generating a sum of about £500.

Friends and family helped Mr and Mrs Wardley assemble the attraction, which features approximately 15,000 lights.

It also has artificial snow, a Santa sleigh, inflatable snowmen, candy canes, animatronic reindeer and a forest backdrop. It is illuminated from 6pm to 9pm each evening until January 5 2019.

Mr Wardley, who is site manager at Nessfield Primary School, said: "The big lights switch on went great and apart from the high winds preventing the display being on for a couple of nights it has been fantastic. The kids love it."

He and his wife thanked everyone who has donated so far for their generosity.
