AN ELF-Y end to the autumn term was in store for Parkside School students who had 100 per cent attendance.
The year seven and eight students were allowed to miss lessons so they could spend a cinema-style afternoon watching the Christmas family movie Elf.
School spokesman Majella McColgan said: “They were treated to popcorn and slush, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.”
Parkside Parents' Association held their annual Christmas fair last month, raising more than £1,000 towards the School Reward budget which was set up to reward students for good behaviour.
Majella added: “As well as funding the end-of-term rewards we have also helped the school to buy much-needed equipment for our students.”
