A KEIGHLEY taxi firm offered plenty of seasonal good cheer when two of its staff dropped into Oxenhope's Manorlands Hospice.

The pair from Oxford Taxis took along a pile of presents for residents earlier this month. (Dec) The generous contribution also included a large cake for the Manorlands staff.

Commenting shortly after the visit, the firm's boss, Pervez Naik, said: "The hospice residents were very pleased to receive this mixture of presents. They were thankful for the gesture.

"We regularly support Manorlands and last December we gave them a cash donation. Family members of people who use our taxis have been residents at Manorlands.

"This time we decided to do something a bit different for people staying in the hospice who might be feeling a little overlooked at this time of year, especially if they don't have family living locally.

"So instead of donating more cash we gave gifts such as toiletries, books, sweets and also some games to help keep residents occupied.

"The visit went really well and the staff and residents were happy to see us."
