KEIGHLEY charity LifeCare UK gave winter packs and warm food to people sleeping rough over Christmas.

Volunteers from the charity visited homeless people to give support on Christmas Eve as part of their winter appeal.

The packs contained thermal gloves, hats and socks, as well as a thermal sleeping bag and personal hygiene products.

Holly Blyszko, administrator of the Keighley-based charity, said: “We also distributed over 50 containers of warm food, which were gratefully received by those sleeping rough.

“We strive to relieve the global suffering of humanity caused by natural disasters, poverty or human conflict. We want to spread awareness to the local community.

“We want to continue distributing these winter packs and hot meals to the homeless in many more areas of West Yorkshire, as all of our work was made possible by the generous donations of the public.”
